A friend served these as an appetizer at her daughter's graduation party this last weekend, and they were so good. She gave me the
recipe and it looks very simple.
Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts
1 pkg. bacon
1 can whole water chestnuts (drained)
Cut bacon slices in half and wrap each chestnut
with one half slice. Pin with a toothpick through the chestnut.
Place them on a cookie sheet and bake 350 degrees until bacon is crisp. Place in a dish and glaze with the following.
Glaze:
Place equal amounts of ketchup, mayo, and brown sugar in a saucepan and simmer until dark in color.
Pour over bacon wrapped chestnuts.
Serve warm.
